Our LED Lighting Services
- LED downlight installation — the most popular residential upgrade. We install recessed LED downlights with proper thermal insulation covers and fire-rated housings. Choose from warm white (3000K) for living areas, cool white (4000K) for kitchens and bathrooms, or tuneable options
- Halogen to LED conversion — replace existing halogen downlights with energy-efficient LED equivalents. Most conversions use the existing cutout size, so there's minimal disruption to your ceiling
- Dimmer switch installation — LED-compatible dimmers let you control brightness and mood. We install single-zone dimmers, multi-zone smart dimmers, and integrate with home automation systems
- Under-cabinet and strip lighting — LED strip lighting for kitchens, shelving, staircases, and feature walls. Available in a range of colour temperatures and RGB options
- Outdoor and landscape lighting — garden path lights, wall washers, deck lighting, and security floods. All rated for outdoor use and installed with waterproof connections
- Commercial lighting design — office, retail, and hospitality lighting that meets Australian standards for lux levels, glare rating, and energy efficiency. We work with architects and designers on specification projects
- Pendant and feature lighting — installation of decorative pendants, chandeliers, wall sconces, and track lighting. We handle the electrical work including junction boxes, mounting hardware, and switching
Why Switch to LED?
The numbers speak for themselves:
- 80% less energy than halogen downlights — a 50W halogen is replaced by a 7–10W LED producing the same (or better) light output
- 25,000–50,000 hour lifespan — compared to 2,000 hours for halogens. That's 15–25 years of normal use without replacing a globe
- Less heat output — halogen downlights run at 200°C+ and are a fire risk in insulated ceilings. LEDs run cool, improving safety and reducing air conditioning load
- Better light quality — modern LEDs offer high CRI (Colour Rendering Index) ratings of 90+, meaning colours look natural and accurate
- Instant on — no warm-up time, full brightness immediately. Unlike compact fluorescents (CFLs) which can take 30+ seconds to reach full output
